Pomelo is built on research about how schools can work both preventively and remedially to strengthen students' sustainable wellbeing. Wellbeing is closely linked to learning: when students feel good, they learn more effectively, and when they learn and develop, it strengthens their wellbeing.

Pomelo helps teachers lead students' socioemotional development as an integrated part of regular teaching. Instead of placing responsibility on external consultants, Pomelo strengthens the relationship between teachers and students and reinforces the teacher's role as the classroom leader.

Pomelo has been developed together with students, teachers, principals, and IT staff from Swedish schools. This makes the tool both user-friendly and adapted to schools' work processes.

Pomelo is designed to protect users' personal data and complies with GDPR requirements. All data is handled securely with clear procedures for storage, access, and protection.
